Livingstone & Rachel Lohia

Fusion Founders

Livingstone comes from a small city north of New Delhi, India, and Rachel, from a quaint country town in Vermont. We met in India and got married there. After we moved to Vermont as a family in 2017, our love for chai and the availability of local organic milk and maple syrup brought our chai consumption to a whole new level. Even our kids Josiah and Jasmine have become lovers of biscuits with chai!

When we shared our chai with our family, friends, and neighbors, all of them loved it. September of 2021, we thought of starting a chai business. Rachel came up with the idea of serving cold chai in summer and hot chai in winter. Our first experience of being in business was in the Farmers’ Markets in Richmond and Jericho, Vermont. People loved it, appreciated us, and gave positive feedback. Since then, our customers have been looking for more.

OUR CHAI

Traditional Milk Chai

Our Chai starts with the best of Vermont: Organic, locally sourced Whole Milk.

We get our milk from Organic Valley famers - some of whom we've known for years!

To this dreamy, creamy Vermonty base, we then add the best of India -

a perfectly mixed blend of black tea and ayurvedic herbs imported from India.

Who knows ayurvedic better?

Third, we add in Vermont's famous sweetener - Organic Vermont Maple Syrup.

Better than processed sugar, tastier than honey,

maple syrup adds a subtle but distinct flavor to this fusion.

We source our syrup from local farmers - in Underhill!

The "icing on the cake" is a little bit of freshly ground ginger -

locally sourced when we can get it in season!

Boiled to perfection, strained by hand and bottled carefully.

Enjoy it hot or cold!

For our dairy-free friends we also have an oat milk version available!
